Techniques for Success 2013

Registration is now open for TFS 2013!

The 5th Techniques for Success (TFS) conference, co-sponsored by the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County (DSNMC) and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Frederick, provides practical tips and strategies for educating students with Down syndrome and those with other special needs.

TFS for Parents will take place in the evening on Friday, October 25, 2013, from 6 – 9:30 pm, and TFS for Educators will be on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 8 am – 4 pm.  Both events will be held at the Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg, 620 Perry Parkway, Gaithersburg, Maryland.  (Note: We initially announced that TFS would be in Frederick this year, but have since changed the location.)  Registration is now open and the deadline is Friday, October 11.

For those who are both an educator and a parent of a child with special needs, please note that it would be repetitive to attend both TFS for Parents and TFS for Educators as the same speakers will present at each conference.  The focus will be on parents on October 25 and on educators on October 26, so please choose one conference based on the focus that you prefer.  Parents attending on Friday will get ideas and tips to share with their child’s educators as well as those they can use at home.
